Why was Iraq stormed into and ruined just because the made a mention of nucleur weaponry, when North Korea has been singing about it and even holding test drives.
Why is America so eager to barge into Iraq and not doing much for North Korea's case? Are they afraid?

There we go. The main idea is that America did it for it's own selfish reasons. Also, I think they knew that Iraq would be easily toppled, wheread North Korea will take no **** and will set the world ablaze if the Americans chose to set a toe in the territory.

Thanks for all the well though out answers. I come to one conclusion, which is the answer to many questions on why people are against the US and the way it's so helpful.
It's because the US isn't a saint, like I told a person who asked this question. It "helps" for it's own purposes but make it all into a saintly sacrificial act.

China is an ally of North Korea. And China probably will defend North Korea if it is attacked. They've done it before during the last Korean war. And as far as I know, their alliance is still in effect.
I don't think that USA wants to have war with China.
Iraq didn't have any such strong military and economic allies. It was on its own, and that's why US government wasn't afraid to attack it.

American big business thought that it would be an easy take over and they'd have control of the resources that Iraq has. The American church wanted to prove that their god was better(stronger) than the Muslim god and of course the country is small with a badly organized army so it should be a cake walk.
North Korea, on the other hand is run by a cartoon character that has a pretty well equipped and trained military and if pushed would put up a furious fight and even if it lost what would the Americans claim (gain). The country is broke and starving.....has no real resources and there would be no way to PROFIT. All they could hope to do was free the people from the dictator...........not what America does........it usually backs dictatorships. As they did in Iraq, and South and Central America and other places in the world.

some causes. One is that North Korea has between the most important status armies contained in the global, and quite probably nuclear guns of a few sort. It also borders Russia and China and any attack on North Korea might want to be considered as a danger by both usa. Secondly, inspite of being "contained" by the UN for 12 years, Saddam Hussein continued to make threats to the area and the global community and refused to cooperate with UN WMD inspectors. His regime had a historic previous of invading its friends and change into between the most important destabilizing impacts contained in the area. Iraq, Iran and Syria were all considered yet because it looked that the UN change into already allied hostile to Iraq, it made the most experience. Oil easily change right into a area, yet really contained in the experience that it change into contained in the full global's perfect pastime to verify that the bypass of oil out of the middle East change into not interrupted (and Hussein had already shown he might want to apply oil as a danger even as he lit his usa's own oil fields on hearth). by ways, maximum liberals in all likelihood are not conscious, inspite of the indisputable fact that the first purchasers for Iraq's oil change into not the U. S. yet China and India. a lot for the concept change into our sole rationalization for invading. there have been also the worries of the rape rooms, genocide, and mass graves, yet liberals do not favor to be afflicted by such niceties.

The time for tolerance is when the cost out wieghs the gain. We keep the eyes upon the arrogant. It is not a sign of weakness; but rather the wisdom gained from the past. The power is in the fact that you can back yourself up with out the need of allies. Alexander was not great because of the weakness of his conquest. Medeocracy is vomit.
