Why did they execute Saddam on EID?

I would just like to say that the way the trial and execution went down, it was an insult to all Muslims and Arabs... It was just a big slap to All Muslims and Arabs... They could have waited a couple of days till Eid was over. What a way to commemorate the blessed month.
Doesn’t countries like the US and UK complain about countries like Saudi Arabia where execution is carried out? So, why now approve and condone Saddam’s
Isn’t ‘capital punishment’ against the Western world’s principles? Against Human Rights? Doesn’t America promise democracy to Iraq and at the same time backs a ‘puppet’ government that approves execution? Are we seeing the US’s double standards again?
Whatever Saddam did or did not do, i think what is going on now– all the killings, rape, torture, and the crazy civil war is far worse and that stability, even if under a tyrant, is much better, but i guess it is too late to bring back Saddam Hussein..
Saddam may have been a dictator, killing innocent people, but one shouldn’t not but one shouldn’t not follow his lead, we shouldn’t be as cruel as he is. Executing him on such an auspicious day is not right, nor is it right to dance on the street rejoicing his death. We should instead look at it in a different way, a reminder to all of us that God will punish us, no matter how powerful or powerless we are. We should not stoop so low.
The trial and the way the execution was performed was an insult to all Iraqis and Arabs.

I don`t know why yet but no doubt it was for some ulterior motive ,and also theres no doubt that it will make things worse if thats possibe .As soon as Saddam was hanged Iraq was put on a curfew ,so it seems obvious enough that reprisals are expected Plus American Embassies around the world have been warned to heighten security measures now

I think DEC-30 is not EID (a moslem can tell better). He was hung in the morning before Sunrise. It is 8th day of 12th month of year 1427.

well, probably to symbolise it as a gift from god etc. i personally find it disgusting- OK he killed lots of people, but hanging him just coz a random person said he should hang? the whole Iraq situation is way out of hand and i think that America, or bush really, should keep their nose out of other people's business as there was no reason for them to go there to restore democracy, just to catch terrorists.. and what do they do? they restore democracy and don't do anything to get the terrorists. its ridiculous!
