Because he's a Muslim, they all think they're martyrs so they can stir up even more trouble after their deaths.

He might have not known what the word martyr means, just like all the other killers in Iraq brain washed. Where are their now in hell keeping the devil warm on his fire.

Most criminally insane people think they die the deaths of martyrs. It's the only way they can "justify" themselves when all evidence points to the truth. Truth tends to elude insane minds.

Well, all muslims think they die as martyr whether killer or victim.. and each deny each other martyrdom... sort of fictionous stuff. and then all terrorists are killers, yet considered martyrs. iranian and iraqi fought each other and both call themselves martyrs. normal.. kind of nazi thing. don't worry about it too much.

When a person that do something terrible, for example kill 142 persons that don't think like you, including his sons-in law,they preech until the end that they dont deserve that. It's a shame,but it was better if they put him in a public place and 142 relatives of his victims, hit him with something so he suffers like them.

Sadam Hussein belived what he did was right, just as bush thought it was right to invade iraq (not supporting him though).Its all a question of perspective, and nobody can truly condemn him as wrong, for all we know he was right, and there are still many people who believe that.

More likely the case that he was a despot and like other despotic dictators, they are surrounded by yes men, therefore they are never challenged and begin to believe their insane thoughts as though they are sane.
