The number is just north of 3000, and yes, it's the real number.
The service members themselves are responsible for their own deaths, as volunteers, and they're all likely proud of their service. Most of us believe that our lives are expendable for wars like this. We love the sound of freedom, and we love the feeling that we caused it.

George Bush and his adminstration, as they wanted and got a war with Iraq. No the number is higher as the war dead only applies to those who physically die in Iraq, it doesn't include those who sucum later to the wounds of war, once they have been trasported out of Iraq.

The link below lists them all...yes 3000. And I did some math and a little over 2000 of them were under the age of 30. Very sad. I wish the families of our troops the best and hope those who are still alive will make it home safe.

i dont know about dead americans (which is probably more than 3000) but i know that hundreds thousands of iraqis have died and those are lives that are being taken away for nothing only because bush decided to go into iraq cause he wants their oil

The muslim terrorists who actually killed the Americans are responsible. The good thing is that for every American killed, we kill about 100 muslim terrorists, all of whom will burn in hell because they followed the pagan moon god allah instead of choosing to live in peace like Jesus tried to teach them.

BUSH!!!!!!!!!!, he ordered a premptive strike on Iraq knowing that they had nothing to do with 9ll, Saddam was contained and he could have took out many other ways.
