I was going to send a friend a poem I had saved in my email sent messages folder, but found it had vanished?

I had saved a lot of my work in folder, which made it easy to email.
Fortunately I have hard copies of them, or can remember them, but I cannot understand why most of sent message folder seems to have disappeared

There will be certain time period after which the contents of email folders are dumped.
You need to actively archive them to stop this happening.

check to see if you have it in your draft folder. if it isn't there try checking in all of your folders

maybe after the coputer had scanned them .. some viruses was found so it was deleted ... that happens to me sometimes
