you could do but it would kind of be a waste of money, why not spend the extra on upgrading to a better broadband package that will give you a better deal on downloads etc also they will probably send you all the equipment for a full wireless network free of charge (the tend to throw a lot more stuff in when you go for higher deals) allowing you all to use the same connection at the same time but still have your own privacy and all computers will get a good connection.

Take a look around the isps. try this link its an independant website set up to compare all isp's it also allows you to compare the different deals so what ever you decide to do this should help you choose your isp

If you all live in the same house, I don't see why you couldn't just have one. Use a router and a wireless connection. Just both chip into together and you could have top speed. I don't know though about your question. I know the internet feeds through your phone line, so you might need to phone lines which you can have on a house.

Depending on the service, YES. If you have dsl and your parents have cable, absolutely. Most providers will also let you have seperate lines/services. For instance, dsl, you would need a second phone line for the seperate service. ISP's wont really mind if you have a secondary competitor as long as you still have service with them.

I think you might have to have two different phonlines in order to do that. if youre laptop uses a wireless connection from your parents computer then it would have to be the same Internet Service Provder.
