he's dead now
all the talk will be what he did to those poor people
he was in a way another hitler like many others before him
they were destroyed and so was he
regardless to when he died his end was the end of that time in iraqs history
now they can move forward and upward
the only thing they need to do now is pull their contry back together and that will take a long time
look at germany it's only 20years since the berlin wall came down and they are still working on their country still today

Listen, there will always be reasons to put it off...and even more not to have done it at all. To his followers the guy is now a god.
I think he should have been stripped of all dignity before he was executed, he went out with too much self respect for someone that had killed so many men, woman and children.

I think he was hanged today because this eid symbolise ones sacrifice to express the love for God.I think as tradition a goat is sacrificed but today was Saddam Hussein so he might feel that he has gone straight to heaven.

Well, that was one of the reasons, I guess. This cruel spectacle shows a total lack of respect towards Muslim sentiments and will of course lead to further escalation. Even Muslim who were critical to Saddam will now become radicalised. We owe it all to Bush and Blair.

Likely wanted it done now because soon media attention will turned to other events like President's Ford funeral, singer James Brown funeral, and coverage of New Year's Day.

i dont think he should have been executed at all, his followers will consider him as a martyr. if anything it would have been better if he had been shot when he was captured. but yes the timing was a bit off.

Did it make any diffrence to him what time of years it was when he had thousands killed?
Did he care if they were innocent or guilty, women or children, old or young?
He didn't, and neither should we.
