can anybody tell me how much spending money we will need roughly for a 2week holiday in orlando. there is just myself and my partner going. i am booking park tickets before i go so would just like an idea of how much we'd need for food and drinks, transport etc. We are not fussy eaters so were not bothered for posh food, we dont drink that much so a few beers each evening will be fine.

You can get breakfast for about $5 each at Ponderosa, Lunch at the park will be about $15 - $20 and dinner anywhere from $15 upwards. So food should be minimum of $35 per day each, times 14 = $490 say $500, in total $1000 for two.

That's if you are frugal. I guess $2000 would be good if you include transport and pressies - have a great time.

I have been for the last three years, and aam going again in 11 days. My partner and I usually spend $100 per day on food and gifts. Some days will be cheaper than others, you can make it as cheap or expensive as you want. We usually start with a buffet breakfast at Ponderosa, $5 or Dennys $15. We eat lunch at the theme parks, it's actually not that expensive, pizza at Universal Studios is about $12 for a huge pizza for 2 people. Dinner can vary between Cicis all you can eat buffet Pizza $5 to an upmarket restaurant, $30. The most expensive thing is drinks at theme parks. You can buy the plastic cups, and get soda refills all day, but they charge you for them. We have found that Disney and too much sugar do not mix, so tend to use the free water fountains located in most parks. Plus you don't have to carry big cups with you. The I Ride on International Drive is a cheap way to get up and down International Drive, and taxis are a reasonable price. If you are staying on International Drive, most hotels offer free shuttles to Universal and Seaworld. Busch Gardens has a shuttle bus that's free with certain tickets, or $10 round trip. Virgin Holidays sell taxi tickets to Disney at a few dollars each.

For 2 weeks in Orlando you need to consider the following. - What parks are you going to? - How many meals will you be eating in the parks? - Are you going shopping? - Do you want souvenirs? - Dining in the parks is expensive. For breakfast, try and eat in your hotel (many offer free breakfast) or buy your own food from wal-mart or target in the grocery section (much cheaper than at Publix). I would allot around $300-400 for food if you plan on eating every meal out. - For shopping and souvenirs, I would say probably 500-600 depending on what your going to buy. Orlando has some great outlets and you can probably spend a lot of money there! - Since you already have park tickets, don't need to worry about that. Enjoy your trip!

If your not staying in the parks, I would say about $2500.00 for the 2 of you.

If you are going to stay in the park and eat there x2 that amount. Yes, it makes that much of a difference and food is the killer.

In Disney the transportation is free, so take advantage of it. WDW is where you will spend allot of time. Universal 3 days tops. Although 2 days is good too.

I would say take around £2000. If you are pre booking your attraction tickets then thats good, but there is so much to do and as for the shopping...you cant help but spend.
Food will be around $60 a day, stoke up on the breakfasts and you will be full all day!
Better to take too much than not enough...and check out Belz shopping mall....

i would recomend that you take about £800 roughly. Its a great place and when your away its always better to take extra just in case. You can always change it back to pounds commission free when you get back home. When your on holiday you don't look at how much your spending and the charges for taking money out abroad are horrific.

I reckon around £600 should suffice for not too fussy entertainment!! it's around £46 per day. Having said that, it's not the ideal place to go and not have a spend up!

you will need lots!...trust me, and take your credit cards as well...and don't for one minute think you wont be sucked into buying any of that Disney junk and all that other theme park merchandise 'cos you will...and if you take a day off and go to the malls, you'll be spending tons there too as its so cheap...but is it?
have fun though x
