This summer I plan to go on a Carnival Cruise with four close friends, ranging in ages 17-28 (I'm 24). We're all over 21, except for my 17 year-old cousin. I was wondering, will she be able to participate in activities like the casino, bars, and drinking? Do they card? Not that I'm promoting underage drinking, but she is a mature 17 year-old. I'm sure if we all order beers, she'll feel funny sitting there drinking Coke...
Thanks guys.

Still have to be 21 if it is an American cruiseline. However once you get off the ship and head into another country like mexico or whatever then you abide by the countrys laws until you reboard the cruiseline.

If under age hopefully she will be ID'd, if not the bar/waiting staff are not doing their jobs.

She should also be checked before being allowed to gambl

As for the international waters comments - that's rubbish, drinking laws are those of the home country of the ship.

It doesn't matter where they are, those laws have to be adhered to.

no they dont check IDs for drinks, of course it depends where youre going, once youre in international waters, whatever country is the destination is the legal limit set by them, almost all cruise lines are 18 though, theres ways around it im sure
