why not.
Ur practicl experience will fetch u several jobs, But don't target the moon in a single call.
Try for small companies and then slowly go for the software giants.

I am in PC and networking field, but I do not have any cert too. I am still employed. It really depend on what you are looking at.

but u can't apply for a job where certification matters
