Come on mud get with it the point of scoring is quite simple you score more points goals etc in any sport than the other team player etc within the rules you win the match (this of course includes winning by default ) the other team or player withdrawing.the only
other thing that can happen is if the ref calls the game off EG weather then the game match will then be replayed at a date decided by the controlling body if like in a an athletic match the match is called off the teams share the points as it cannot be rescheduled

In theory a game can be won 2-0, (2 points being for a 'safety' when a team in sacked or tackled in it's own endzone.
