i have a little picture of a sad looking person with a love heart i'd really like to know who drew it

A little more help here would be good.

Can you post the picture on-line and give us a link.

Can you describe it a little better - eg. how big is it ("little" doesn't really tell us), what style is it in, what is it drawn with (eg. pencil, charcoal, etc), is it black and white or colour...........and so on.

We have no chance with the info you've posted so far.

If its an original picture (ie not a print) and may be by someone well known you could take it to Christies or Sothbys or Phillips auction houses and they may be able to help you

do some forensics first, i.e.
type of paper?watermarks? frame?
medium (pen,pecil, water color..)
determine age of artist by
using some handwriting analysis tricks
like seeing if it flows, or is stiff and cramped.
probably self portrait most people don't draw other sad people.
