Both Republicans and Democrats have used military force in one way or another. Wilson got us into WWI. FDR got us into WWII. Truman used atomic weapons and sent troops into Korea. Johnson escalated the war in Vietnam for the U.S. Carter botched a military rescue of the hostages in Iran. And Clinton fired cruise missiles into Iraq, and continued patrolling the "No Fly Zone" there.

On the Republican side, Nixon started the withdraw from Vietnam and Ford finished it. Reagan used the military to bomb Lybia a couple of times for their support of terrorist activities. Bush #1 liberated Kuwait after Iraq invaded. And of course, Bush #2 has the war on terror and Iraq invasion.

I am a Democrat, and I love Bushbashing and bashing the Republicans, but to be fair, War is not just a Republican thing. All countries experience war including ours. Even with a Democrat in office.

Then you should hate the DEMOCRATS, look at all past wars in U.S. History, It was always a DEM in the white house... I love it, the Dem's now whine about the reps spending too much $, LMAO, it's the DEM'S that like BIG GOVERNMENT, big tax hikes, and to give out special programs, not the REP'S, do your research a little better, instead of repeating what you've heard at the dinner table !

Ex-special forces here so I'll try to answer your question somewhat. Let's look back at the most previous President for example: Under President Clinton the United States continually bombed Iraq (although the mainstream media failed to give this fact the same intense coverage they give war now). We also had troops in Somalia and Croatia along with a host of special forces operations that, as always, remain out of the spotlight. See Philippines currently as an example.

The fact is the war machine goes far beyond Party politics. Both major parties are owned by the same folks who own the Federal Reserve System. These same people own the mainstream media, many major corporations and control the world of academia as well. America is hardly the free nation many Americans believe it is.

In 1913, it was the Democrats who passed legislation, through Congress, making the Federal Reserve System a privately held corporation - incidentally this was the same year the income tax was birthed. In 1900, the cost of government (local, state and federal) to the average American was about 5% of their annual earnings and public debt (again, local, state and federal) was virtually non-existent. Today, the cost of government to the average American runs over 31% and public debt is so phenomenal that most people seem to think we'll never pay it off.

Between 1928-1932, the owners of the Federal Reserve System, systematically withdrew - through the Fed's monetary policies - over $8 billion dollars from the American economy which precipated and perpetuated the greatest financial disaster/crime Americans have ever endured. Most people believe the Great Depression was an accident. In a speech at Milton Freidman's 90th birthday celebration - November 8th, 2002 - current Fed Chairman Bernanke admitted that the monetary policies enacted by the owners of the Fed caused the Great Depression.

Funny thing that failed to make the news. As most Americans seem to be clueless about the fact that the Federal Reserve is a privately owned corporation they also seem to be utterly obtuse to the fact that the mainstream media is also owned (through controlling the majority stock in each corporation) by the same folks who own the Federal Reserve. See CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, network radio, many major newspapers and magazines. So it's no surprise that the people who control America's economy, and own many of the major corporations that American's either work for or buy products from, would avoid promoting these facts through the media.

Why crash the economy and create the Great Depression? Just as over 1,000,000 families were forced off their farms during the Agricultural Depression of 1921 during the Great Depression over 10,000 banks went out of business. Many of these banks were locally owned and were refusing to submit to the Federal Reserve System. First rule in business - buy low, sell high.

Need a more recent example: during the 1970's the oil industry began 'alarming' (propaganda) the American public that oil was in short supply and it's end was near. So oil prices, at the pump, skyrocketed and people actually waited in long lines to pay. The result: so many thousands of small gas station owners went out of business and the corporate stranglehold over America's oil future consolidated into the hands of the few. Second rule in business: 'create' demand and limit 'supply.'

The funny side to this equation is the fact that this was during the same time that the oil pipeline in Alaska was being built. In other words, the American public financed the construction of the Alaskan pipeline project because they 'bought into the fear.' Third rule in business: use OPM - Other People's Money.

The owners of the Federal Reserve have a 14-point manifesto, creed or agenda if you will. Once you read it, everything will make sense. It has some pretty bad stuff in it for you to say the least.

Over the years, as the Demonrats have tried to sell us on the farce that they are the "Party of the little guy" they have utterly failed to do anything about abolishing or buying back the Federal Reserve System from those whom they sold it to. The owners of the Fed make 99.74 cents on each $ one dollar bill that is printed and more on higher denominations. It is the single most profitable business in the world and Demonrats won't do anything about it because they would never win an election again if they did.

The owners would simply quit financing the liberal movement and ordinary Americans, who have bought into the hype that Demonrats care about them, would know they were the ones who sold them out.

First of all, the owners of the Federal Reserve make tons of dough when government spends money and especially when it borrows money. The same families who own the Fed have been involved in promoting war for hundreds of years. They bet on both sides - knowing one side will win and that winners usually absorb (rebuilding after war) the loser's costs (war reparations). It's called arbitrage in case you want to look it up in a business dictionary.

Clinton got us in Bosnia, Kosovo, Haiti and Somalia. And ordered strikes against Iraq, Afghanistan, and Sudan.
