yes. it's called irony. for instance: a princess is in love with a blacksmith. her father doesn't like it, but he loves his daughter and she loves him back , so he wants what's best for her and tries to poison the blacksmith. instead, he actually kills himself. {that's sad} but she gets to marry the smith{that's happy}

Absolutely, with out a doubt in my mind.
I lost my job and thought it was the end of my world, now I'm self employed and making almost twice the money.
