I have heard from countless sources that JK will kill Harry off, assuming that is a horcuxe or something of the sort, and once Harry dies, Voldermort will die. However, how can this be assumed if Voldermort has tried to kill him numerous times?

Many of my friends and I have all agreed Harry is not a Horcrux. I just don't see how this is possible. Lots of ppl say that when Voldemort attacked him as a small child he somehow made him into a Horcrux.
I just don't think you could accidently make something into a Horcrux. Its your Soul! You would want to take very good care of it. That is why the other Horcrux's are so well hidden.
The prophacy says that neither can live while the other one is alive. So Harry has to kill Voldermort. I just don't see JK Rowling having Voldermort will.
However I can see her killing Harry in the book. The battle between him and Voldermort will be HUGE. I just hope that she doesn't.
I could go on and on about what I think but I will keep it at that. For more really good theories go to the website below.

Voldemort has only tried to kill Harry twice that I'm aware of, really - the first time, when Harry got his scar (and was maybe turned into an "accidental" horcrux), and the second time in the graveyard (Goblet of Fire). The first time, Harry was saved by a "deep" magic (echoes of Chronicles of Narnia there...), and the second time, by the "Priori Incantatem" effect of their wands being from the same source. At this point, I'm not assuming anything - Harry could very well be a Horcrux (which would explain a lot of things), but it is possible that he's not and will survive. However, if he IS a horcrux, then Harry will have to die in order for Voldemort to die. If that's the case, then the only way to really be sure that Voldemort is dead is to destroy Harry. Even if they found a way to lift the spell, how could they ever be really sure??

Maybe Harry is a horcuxe. Maybe Voldemort was smart enough to make him one because no one will kill him off. Ya Voldemort has tried to kill Harry but after the 4th book, Voldemort can now touch Harry, before he couldn't. Maybe Harry does die, my friends and I have talked about this and it came up that maybe Neville will kill Voldemort off, 'cause it never said that Harry was the one, just that Voldemort marked him. Who knows. There are a lot of theories going around, we'll just have to wait and see. But I hope JK doesn't kill Harry off.

I've also heard that Luna dies. Also another theory.

Since we're talking theories heres mine.

I believe that Harry Potter has the potential to make millions more dollars for a lot more years to come which means that a lot more books will be written

It seems so stupid to kill Harry off and also your own income dont you think? would you if you were the author? would you if you were Warner Borthers?

I theorize Harry Potter will grow to become an adult Warlock who in turn will run Hogwarts alonside sidekicks Ron and Hermione. By this time "your children or perhaps crandchildren" will be enjoying the Harry Potter saga.

Before this however I predict J.K. Rowlings and Warner Bothers will bring us many more episodes that will follow Harry through the progress of his life into manhood, adulthood and old age ;)

Maybe he only made Harry's skull a horcrux, and he did so on purpose because he knew that no one on Dumbledores side would kill him to destroy his skull. Perhaps he then thought better of it because the people around Harry are pretty smart and might figure a way to remove the spell without killing him. Whatever theories people come up with though (including myself), I have a feeling it will be something nobody would guess.
As for Harry dying, I can see that happening, since the prophecy doesn't say he has to STAY dead, I mean, people can be clinically dead for... I think five minutes without brain damage, so he could just find a way to stop his heart and then have someone else revive him.

I think the Sorting Hat is a Horcrux. Remember, Dumbledore said that Voldemort had tried to get something which belonged to each of the 4 founders - the diary from Slytherin, the locket from Hufflepuff, the cup from Ravenclaw (I think I've got those two the right way round? I haven't read it for a loooong time) - but nothing from Gryffindor. I also think that Harry is a Horcrux and that he'll manage to destroy all of the other Horcruxes and realise that to kill Voldemort, he himself must die.

This can be answered simply as Voldemort didn't know that he had accidentally converted Harry into a horcrux. Once Harry gets this knowledge, he sets off the finish all horcruxes and in the end finishes himself.

Not a big fan of the series, but I have happened to watch the series and I wondered the same thing. How many times has Harry seemingly destroyed Voldemort only to have him comeback later. It can't be assumed the Voldemort dies...ever. Therefore the ending as it would seem will most likely be lame.

Theories, huh? We can theorise all we want, but they'll probably all turn out wrong anyway. I think personally that Harry won't die. I don't think J.K. Rowling will bring herself to kill him, though she will kill another major character, perhaps Snape or even Ron or Hermione. The one thing I hope is that this book as as dark, dramatic and readable as its predecessors.
