I think LT will be the foregone conclusion for the cover of Madden 08 with his record breaking season this year. If he does make the cover, do you think he'll be the one to break the curse? If not, what do you think will happen?

LT, for those of you who have been living under a very large rock the last year, is LaDainian Tomlinson. He's a running back of some skill that plays for San Diego.

I'm not sure, but I think players can vie to not be on the cover of games or even be in the games. I mean Barry Bonds didn't even want to be in any of the MVP Baseball games, and so the programmers had to make up someone named John Dowd, and he had Barry's exact stats and attributes.
And I remember I saw a SportsCenter when they were talking about the Madden Curse, Brian Billick (or however you spell it) said he talked to Ray Lewis about being on the cover and gave him the ok. So I'm sure if LT is superstitious, he won't be on the cover.
If he is, he won't break the curse. So many talented (maybe not good, but talented) players have been on the cover and just seem to suck or get injured. Tradition will live on. Really, Ray Lewis is the only guy that didn't suck or get injured when he was on the cover, but his team still had an absolutey terrible year. So probably if LT is on the cover, the Raiders will finish ahead of the Chargers in the division. Scary thought.
If not LT, maybe Drew Brees on the cover???

There is no such thing as the Madden Curse. Each season there are players that injured including the superstars. The Madden Curse is a coincedence. Okay lets say EA decided to use Matt Hasselback instead of Shaun Alexander in would still be the Madden Curse. Speaking of curses, there is a 2k sports curse. NFL 2k5 T.O. messed up the Eagles season. NBA 2k7 Shaq got injured.

He needs to stay as far away from the cover as possible. There is a curse, and if it is a coincidence, how many tyears in a row can it happen before it is accepted as a curse? He will not break it, and by no means is he worth the risk.

Vince youthful will definitley destroy the curse. He did not get damage once at Texas. And he's the most versatile quarterback considering Michael Vick. If he might want to get one commence reciever on his crew it would want to be over.

"Curse"? What a load of nonsense and lack of thinking.
Players get put on the covers of annually produced video games because they have the best season in the league or of their careers. Why should it surprise anyone that few players, if any, ever match that success again?
