Any trauma to your skin has its consequences... piercing is a form of trauma... If done properly (which means in a sterile environment by an expert) complications are less likely.... so be wise before doing such a procedure...

Nowadays everything implies risks..I've recently seen a girl from the US, who had her nipple pierced for her 18th bithday...The pierce got infected, and the doctors had to extirpate her breast...Imagine what a gift she finally received..Sad but true...

tounge and lip piercings can cause teeth damage. but if your considering one of those talk to your denist. otherwise nipples and belly are safer if done properly.
