My journey to finding myself again began when I quit smoking. I found the withdraw cravings annoying, and I then chose to channel myself into a positive activity like playing music (and learning to play guitar in the process), photography, hiking / bicycling, writing....etc, etc.
By merely quitting smoking, not only have I regained my ol' self again, but I've also come back a better person--learning new good things along the way.

When i started university, i entered it with the mentality i had in high school. I thought i was a failure and would never amount to anything. As time progressed, i realized that i wasn't a failure because i was succeeding. Finally. So i decided to get involved with everything i was passionate about. I realized that i'm only a failure when i don't try. And thus, i got in touch with my self. The self that loves reading and learning and asking questions and being a geek pretty much :P

Turning inward and recognizing that myself is not dependent on the assessments of others, and that I don't have to take care of a friend and his family who are draining me.
It was just a moment of clarity, and there still is some work to be done to be myself again, but now I know I can begin.

Its gotta be friends, My best friend picked me up here last night at 3 in the morning to make me go out and get some food with him, I was reluctant at first, but it was the first time in a long time I had fun and felt like myself. And reading, if you like to read it will help I find it easy to get wrapped up in guessing whats coming next etc.
