I'm an N type and I know an S type that was absolutely brilliant at mathematics, so I don't think that N types are necessarily superior to S types.

N types do tend to have better imaginations, which probably tends to make them better inventors.

If I remember correctly, S types can be very mechanically inclined. I think a lot of great atheletes are S types as well.

I think the smartest people, however, are the people who have a mix of S and N in them because they can adapt to different circumstances.

People who have a mixture of F and T aspects would probably make excellent psychiatrists.

I'm sorry but, no temperament is better than the other. Because the world needs many different types to get things done. (balance)
I am an infj, my husband is an estp. (Complete opposites.) I'm great at some things, and so is he.

Fact: everyone uses both sides N and S each day. Just one we rely on a little more. Look at the "tandem principle.'

A person named "dr.Paul" has an interesting take on these types. His program is entitled "Mind OS" As in Operating System.

Not unlike computer professionals who are versitile in a multitude of operating systems; people, too, who are able to switch between Sensing and Intuition orw hat have you; based on the situation are the most qualified....The more(better) developed types.

So the best type of person is the person who is not limited by absolutes of thier type. Dr.Paul discusses what he calls a persons "observing ego" which from what I can gather is what controls which archetype you utilize during any given situation.

To think of one MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) as 'superior' or 'better' than another is getting the spirit of MBTI wrong.
No one type is right or wrong, good or bad. It's just the way we operate.
