In a religion with over ONE BILLION followers, over 20% of all the people alive on earth today there are perhaps 100,000 Muslims insane enough to fight people. These mad few claim it it because of their religion it is in fact NOTHING to do with their religion - there are always a few criminally insane people in any group and these people will claim anything to justify their fanatical ideals.
The holy book of Islam, the Quran, is very much against violence aside from as a last resort and only then it should be used in defence of Islam and excess force should never be used.
Also these crazy few are not fighting ALL cultures - when did you last hear about suicide bombers going after Inuit Eskimos, Greenlanders, Mongolians or Brazilians. They are only targeting certain cultures who they are afraid of and see as threats.

In all countries and religions there are good/bad people, just because few stupid muslims make trouble does'nt mean all of them are troublemakers or terrorists. But I started to wonder about this so called War on Terror a long time ago, is there a hidden agenda in all of this? I certainly don't trust G.W. Bush. If you are a opened minded person checkout the web for the films of Stanley Monteith, and Alex Jones they might help.

sry but were not fighting all cultures, same could be said about the USA fighting all countries, just cause some idiots want to cause trouble doesnt mean were all bad, all religion has bad apples and the problem just gets magnified cause there muslims and all sort of nonesence comes out of it, like chinse whispers, muslims are not meant to kill any human beings, just because some idiots belive that my killing they will please god, i mean which god would say its ok to kill ??, dont belive everything u read in the papers, keep an open mind and think for urself

Great question Muslims believe that theirs is the only truth towards their Allah and we are the infidels by our beliefs and culture. Do you know that I was in a coffee house in new yORK and this Moslem man ordered apple pie al la mode with strawberry icecream and he told the waitress that these were creations of Muhammed. Anything good from our culture they claim as theirs.

It's more political than anything. Muslims around the world including in US and Britain are peace-loving, progressive and contribute a lot to national economy and stability. The religion Islam definitely does not prescribe transgression against anyone. In fact it strongly opposes to any violence to people and property. Besides, it holds true for any creed - all religions are good, it is people that are bad. There are, undeniably and unfortunately a very small number of people in any religion who misunderstand the nobility and pureness of its teachings, and as a result commit acts in the name of the religion which is actually contrary to the teachings of that religion. Islam is strongly vocal against people who commit these acts against humanity.
1.6 billion muslims around the world are not the enemy.

It is a duty of all Muslims to spread the word and try to convert - some of them just take it too far and believe that if you don't convert or believe, then you must die. However, Christianity used to be just as overzealous - witness the trail of missionaries into the developing world trying to spread the word. Spanish Inquisition was in the name of Christianity, the terrible reigns of Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth in Tudor times, putting Catholics or Protestants to death depending on which queen was on the throne. So Christianity has a lot to be ashamed of, as well.

Not all Muslims are fighting with everyone else. My cousin's wife/girlfriend (I don't know if he's married her yet) is Muslim and she told me that they don't believe in fighting everyone. "We're a peaceful people." she told me once. Don't believe that ALL Muslims are at war. It's just the crazy ones.

We are infidels. Our women are uncovered. We have children out of wedlock. We go to school. We write with our left hand (or at least some of us). Mostly it's because of the women - everything about us is abhorrent to muslim men apart from ogling us in our own country. In Australia 3 boys went on a raping spree - they were muslims - and blamed the women. They accused those children (because that's wot those girls were) of 'asking' for it because of the way they were dressed! I mean when you live near the beach in this country you tend not to wear much! Apart from that it's our religion. We apparently have different versions of 'God'. Ours is not the right God! After being prosecuted those boys blamed their religion for doing the most vilest acts. They would never do that to their own women (or would they? because women have no rights in their religion).

Because there is only one true God - Allah.
you are either one of the chosen or an Infidel, infidels may be killed and have their property taken.
That answers the question, but only if the Muslims your asking about follow the extremes stated above.
Thankfully for the World most Muslims are truly peaceful and respectful of others.
This 'Eid' I wish them peace, but they most likely wont get it.
