Asking that question here is going to get you some people for them and some against them. Same as any other topic. So, a lot of people will say that what I'm about to write is absolute garbage, but that's their choice :)
I have used the flower remedies with enormous success on myself, my husband, and my two children. You can't have a placebo effect with a baby who's only a couple of months old, or a two or three year old child.
On Christmas Eve, I was woken by the most terrifyingly painful panic attack I've ever experienced. I didn't realise at the time that it was a panic attack - the pain was so intense I thought I was dying. I was totally freaking out. My husband dosed me up on Rescue Remedy every couple of minutes for an hour, and the extreme mental distress I was experiencing completely vanished. I was still in a great deal of pain, but the flower remedies are not given for physical pain.
I had a similar attack, although milder, on Boxing Day (Dec 26), and this time I went straight for the Rescue Remedy, and I was fine after about thirty minutes.
This is just one example of how I've used them. There are heaps more.
Really, though, the best way to find out how they work is to try them yourself. Unless you're like me and have studied these things for a while and therefore know exactly what remedy should be used for which mental state, you should get them prescribed to you by a professionally trained person.

The Bach Flowers absolutely work when prescribed correctly. It is very beneficial to seek out a highly experienced Bach Flower Counselor who can come up with the appropriate remedies. Up to 6, possibly 7 (at the most) remedies may be combined in a formula. If the incorrect remedies are recommended, there is no harm done--they just won't help the particular energetic imbalance.
Have personally used Bach Flower remedies for over 20 years with tremendous success. There is no placebo effect, period. These remedies have been successfully utilized on babies, animals and plants. They are not true homeopathic remedies as they are made in a different manner.
The many solutions to complete and true healing are inherent in Nature and have been in existence for millions of years. They have to be uncovered. This requires delving into non-physical reality, at times, and opening up (via meditation, prayer, chanting, yoga, t'ai chi, chi kung, artistic endeavors, etc.) to the spiritual side of our Being. This is how we can connect with the Cosmos--All That Is. Often, great discoveries and insights are made in this manner. Go, explore and have fun!
Enjoy learning about the Flowers--and, thus, yourself. They are some of Nature's best healers and helpers.
Wishing you excellent health and well-being.

Yes! Rescue Remedy is a godsend I used it instead of the prescription antidepressant my doctor suggested when I was quite depressed. 4 drops in pure water sipped duing the day works nicely as well as plopping it on your tongue. Nauropaths have prescribed other Bach remedies for me but I like the Rescue Remedy the best . My veterinarian prescribed it for my dog for "nervous wetting" and other homeopathic remedies for my dog's illnesses. I find it amusing when people say it is a placebo effect, knowing that many vets use it with successful results on animals. I have used homeopathy on my babies with fine results but I understand why people have so many doubts about it's effectiveness. The traditional medical community will always ridicule its use since many ailments are helped quickly using them, and they are quite inexpensive.(It would put them out of business)
Anyway, as suggested, give it a try as there are no negative side effects and it has helped many people over many years. Good luck

Flower remedies are used to relieve emotional stress. First you need to figure out which remedy to take and then follow the directions given by the book. They work quite fast. I've used them in the past and I'm always amazed at how fast they work. Go to amazon and find a book written about flower remedies. Find your emotional symptom or symptoms and take the appropriate remedy. If a problem persists then there may be more than one remedy needed.

A researcher named Ramey in 2000 stated
" Homeopathy has been the subject of at least 12 scientific reviews, including meta-analytic studies, published since the mid-1980s....[And] the findings are remarkably consistent:....homeopathic "remedies" (such as Bach Flowers)
are not effective."

Are you talking about Bach Flower Remedy, for stress? If so.. i've used it, and actually noticed an improvement, so yes they did help me. Everyone's different though. It's homeopathic though, so it's not like it would hurt you to try it. :)

i have tried them and i hate to say it but they work! my boyfriends aunt is a bach practicioner and he went to her because he was worried about me after my mum died and he looked to her to help me with my grief and even though i believed like many of the rest of you that they were a pile of sh*te i have to admit they helped me out when nothing else would. his aunt went through years of anti-depressants and therapy but in the end she found these remedies and has become a new person without any further medication. i can only give you my experience of them but if your in a desperate enough state, anything is worth trying and these won't harm you unlike medication with endless side affects so why not give them a shot?! Good luck xx

I have been using Bach Flower Remedies on both myself and my children for a couple of years now, with lovely, life-confirming results.
Some of the remedies work through achieving a subtle but complete change of attitude and emotional make-up, and others bring on quite a dramatic change in a person, so that you could almost hear the clanking of the invisible chains as they fall off.
To use the remedies on yourself, though, you'd need a huge amount of good old honesty in order to be able to correctly recognise and identify the 'flows' of your own Personality.
It would be wise to see a properly qualified Bach Flower practitioner until you get to grips with both your own Personality/Soul connection, and the way that the Remedies work.
Here's some more information, so you could decide for yourself if this is something you could use to make positive changes in you life. Good luck!
Dr Edward Bach dedicated his life to understanding illness and disease and to helping people to overcome the problems that they faced in life. His life's journey took him from orthodox allopathic medicine, through bacteriology, homoeopathy and onto the Flower Remedies for which he is now so well known. During his life's journey he gradually began to understand what he considered to be the root causes of illness and disease, and the philosophy they he developed is as simple as it is profound. He knew at a very deep level that life on the physical plane of existence was meant to be a conscious partnership between our personality selves ( mind and emotion ) and the part of ourselves that is eternally connected to our Creator – the Soul; i.e. to have a conscious connection between mind, body and spirit. When these aspects of ourselves function in absolute harmony, then we experience balance at all levels of our being. This message is basically the same message that all of the great Sages and Masters of the past have given to humanity. It represents the unchanging truth of the Universe and one that we still collectively need to remember in order for us to be able to bring our world and ourselves into balance and harmony. You can hear this message time and again in Dr Bach’s work as he seeks to remind humanity of this innate knowledge that is held deeply within all of us.
The 38 Bach Flower Remedies were developed as tools that would help us to rise above the limited vision that we carry at a personality level and connect us with the true Essence of ourselves.
Each remedy is a correcting vibration for a state of mind or emotion that needs to be gently rebalanced. Since the body is a direct reflection of the mind, transforming negative vibrations into positive good vibrations allows the body to respond naturally with better health.
Bach Flower Remedies can be taken by anyone, safely and without fear of side effects, overdosing or addiction. While they are not intended to replace medical treatment where necessary, they can be used in conjunction with, and to compliment, any other form of medicine. Since flower remedies work on a higher vibrational frequency they will not interfere with other forms of treatment. Animals and plants will also benefit greatly. No harm comes from choosing the wrong remedy as it will cancel itself out if not needed.
