Ingredients:
Water
Flour (one part flour to one part water)
Strips of Newspaper, about 1 inch wide
Directions:
Mix flour and water in a large bowl (2 cups of each is a good amount with which to start) until it makes a smooth paste. Dip in the newspaper strips, one at a time, remove the excess paste from your fingers and lay the coated newspaper on the form to be papier mâchèd. Smooth out the wrinkles and continue to place coated newspaper over the surface until completely covered. When the surface has totally dried, paint your own design using acrylic or poster paint.

The easiest recipe is with plain white glue and water. Mix 2 parts glue to 1 part water in a large bowl or pan. Hand strip newspaper and soak it in the glue mixture for a few minutes and then begin to lay the strips over what shape you are needing. Recently we needed to create a "boulder" or a "rock" for a school project so we wadded up newspaper into a ball and begin to lay strips of the mache' over. Be sure and smooth out each strip overlapping additional strips. Be sure and completely dry first layer overnite and recover the next day. If you need a really strong piece, put on another layer. You can paint this stuff with the inexpensive Barrel paints from Walmart. Our project turned out really well.

I use old newspaper, water and PVA glue
Itear the paper in strips put in a liquidiser with water and fritz it, when it is a nice runny mush remove and squeeze out most of the water mix in some pva and place on a piece of muslin in a sieve. When most of the remaining water has gone you can take the mache and need it like bread. It is now a very workable and strong medium that you can model or put into moulds.
Allow to dry, paint, and there you are.
I don't use wallpaper paste. as most of the modern ones contain fungicide which can be absorbed through the skin

Tear up some old newspapers
soak the shredded newspapers in 5 parts water one part bleach to soften the paper machie to make it easier to shape it
after a few hours, take out the softened pulp and apply it onto a surface to mold that shape or onto a flat surface to make crepe paper !

An easy way to create different size round form for your paper mache is to lay the wet paper strips over an inflated balloon. The balloon will hold air overnight, long enough for the covering to dry.

Try Scola Cell adhesive as an alternative to wallpaper paste. It does not contain fungicide and is less tacky than PVA.
PVA makes a good coating between layers of newspaper as it strengthens the item so you don't need to use so many layers. You can also thin it down and use it as a soft glaze.

the easiest way is to make a thin paste out of flour and water (some people like to add a wood glue but I find little benofite) then tear news paper into strips, dip the strips in the paste to coat bolth sides of the strip, squgie the extra paste off with your fingers then apply to the surface you want to cover.

Paper Mache is a great recycle craft!
Make your own ornaments or other fun projects using recycled papers. You can use Newspaper, stationary, gift wrap, or any paper you have left over. Once you make the mixture using one of the three recipes below, form the PAPER MACHE into shapes, let it dry, and paint it!
For large items or particular shapes you can make the insides hollow by using cartons, cans, styrofoam or an air filled balloons on the inside, then forming your shapes around it! Balloons are particularly good for making ornaments that you would like to be shaped like a ball.

Newspaper and that clear jelly like glue we had at primary school. We made heads by glueing layer upon layer of newspaper over a blown up balloon, letting it dry, then popping the ballon to leave a hard shell.
