I think USA role in the trial is positive, I m pretty sure, if USA not there, Iraqi Government will torture him and behead him in fake trials like their master kind of trials in Iraq, remember, how they kill many people in fast trials? sort of things SCIRI the majorityi in parliament they did while they were in Iran to Iraqi pows, they torture them according to many witnesses. so at least USA kept him respected anyway. and gave him trial. but maybe if they handed him over to international court is better.

Do you mean Trial ? The USA, the Iraqi leadership, many ordinary Iraqis & the International Community all wanted a trial, a conviction & thus a legal execution.
For one thing, it sends a powerful message that even the most powerful dictator can crash & burn if he makes too many powerful enemies. For another, it draws a line under Saddam's leadership of Iraq; how could the country move on when he was still alive ?

Ya know you people are killing me tonight. If ya would have cared ya would have signed the dotted line and you would be out there protecting the borders. And you would know better than to believe what the media says. Bottom line is the decision was up to Saddams own people. We have nothing to do with what they decided. We only gave him more time for life thru the court thing. So sick of the oil comment from ignorant individuals, Thats up for worldwide bid. If your not in the loop zip it. I know I will most likely get that violation thing now.

Events are clearly indicative of his real cause of downfall. To a leader like him, downfall was his death. USA wants democracy in Iraq to make America safer. Insurgency has shattered the dream of Iraqi people. Truth is real goal has not still been achieved.

It was a Iraqi judge that sentenced him to death.. If a country starts a war for what ever reason its the main objective to capture the leader. Are you a Hitler youth?

It's all a Bush administration endeavor to protect the interests of the rich. Hussein's death is going to create an increase of insurgent violence creating an excuse for Bush to continue this abomination.
