but in Pagan/ and buddhist, hindu, Jewish belief systems it is more about finding your place in the world and how to get along with the world around you

Yah it is a kind of divide and rule policy! But it can also be said a policy of increasing festivals. Think if we have only one religion, then though there will be no divide and rule but effect on the increase of festivals !

Religion is the creation of man with the avowed purpose of God realisation. If religion does not serve the purpose, it is not the mistake of God. Man's organisations always tend to lose the initial sheen and degradation sets in.

Only if you are are atheist. Divide and rule is what its turning into as most dont understand who God is. Its a pity and whats worst is that no one or no Govt is teaching people about God.

Any religion is intended to unite the people, but not to divide them. But unfortunately, many religious preachers to protect their dominaiton and ego, they treid to divide the people in the name of religion and thus led to bloodshed. People used to say Christ was the last real christian and Prohet was the last real Muslim. In their name later bloodshed was spread.

the white people follow the divide and rule. its true. but the innocent till they divide in to two. so any one the whites support to destroy the other group. example sunny and shya muslims. one god then why they split in to two? because the white people never allow to join them as one. we never think this. we blame each others. thatswhy all happening easily to the white people. they support india at the same time they support pakistan also. so they easily get very good weapon business in both stupid countires
