I have the PC version of NFS Carbon and have completed every race apart from the drifts. Has anyone got any tips for drifting, ultimate drift cheats or any opinions on best drifting car

McLaren, Lamborghini or if you aren't a big drifter the Lotus Elise. What you need to do is fight all your instinct to jerk control back straight and just keep turning with the drift. then once the corner is coming close to ending, slowly ease off if you want to go straight, or jerk it back and hold it to slide the other way. It's a matter of fighting what your head tells your hand. And make sure you go as fast as you can all the time or the slide is to hard hold and gives you no cash. And just practice. But when you get going, it's an awesome feeling to get that sweet slide. Drifting is nearly all I play now.

I have the game for xbox, starting out early - midway through the game, use muscle or exotics for drift. you need to keep your drift meter in full to really crank out the points, and you cant do that if you are going slow. Muscles and exotics have plenty of speed and accel so it should help you beat them early in the game, but once all the cars are pretty much a level playing field with unlocked parts, Tuner cars are the way to go. Any tier 3 car can stay in the blue/max drift meter range speed, but the Evo IX was the one that has the best handling at the high speeds. I used the Evo to beat the game, actually. Hope that helps.

But the SLR McLaren is the best for everything else. In my opinion the Viper is good for drifting. If you don't like the Viper you can try with the Lamborghini Gallardo.

But i have only recently started to play the game.

I had an SLR Mclaren once, and I turned the PS2 off without saving. I forgot how to get it :S
