yes koolpr is absolutely correct.
i tell u in a exact manner:: poor quality of petrol makes the combustion become poor.
that means engine won't get the output which it should get.
so u won't get good power n good pickup 4m ur bike.
it also causes the problem of knocking.(constant noise coming out 4m engine).
knocking cuts the life of piston & engine. which is a major problem.
it aso dicreas the milage of the bike.
SO MAKE SURE THAT U R GIVING A GOOD QUALITY PETROL TO UR BIKE.

the current '07 harley's due to epa emission reg's are running extremely lean. power isnt quite as good compared to a bike that has the right mixture set. they also run very very hot. a rider on a message board that i haunt reports that the '07 harley's run so hot stock, that she had to stand up off the seat at the lights because she felt like she was burning up. there have been some reports of rider's saying they wound up getting blistered by the engine heat alone.
mileage might be a bit better, but u wont like the amount of heat the engine will give off, and u wont like the lowered performance of it either. the plugs might wind up getting too hot also, and depending on the type of fuel used, it could cause detonation at the worst scenerio...and that can cause severe engine damage if allowed to do it very long.

It actually does not have the catastrophic result that city legend might have you ever have self belief. It does not dissolve interior the petrol so if it generally happening sugar will in all probability basically settle to the backside of the tank. Finer icing sugar if extra in adequate quantity might start to dam the gas filter out inflicting the motorbike to stutter once you leap on the gas. a rapid exchange of the filter out and your on your way.
