That's the $64,000 question.

From everything I've read about this Saddam was seen as an evil dictator among most of the Arab countries. "Stalinesque"
Just because someone's a Christian doesn't mean they are a KKK sympathizer. If you didn't know, most members of that club proclaim to be Christians too.

If China invaded the US and hanged our President, I think more than a few Americans, including Liberals, would be more than a little pissed off about it. No country has the right to do this, it is stupid policy that leads us down a very dark path it took us centuries to get out of until the arrival of the infinitely stupid pair of Bush/Cheney. We have set a very bad precedent. If it is OK for us to go into a country and hang the President, then it follows that it is perfectly ok for any country to do that to Bush, including this one. I imagine the entire Arab world, which already resents our arrogance when it comes to their region, is now discussing their outrage at this latest installment of US policy, and how they wish we would get our "what goes around comes around." And I would not be surprised if more volunteers for Iraq are on their way tomorrow.

Most of the Arab world probably won't react too much. HOWEVER, there are a few extreme, militant that will seize on it. In fact I just spoke with a colleague of mine that has assured me that just such a thing will happen with some of the groups he works with in the coming times....so there will be some, but not many that will escalate things. We'll see how useful my information was....

Well here in Kuwait. We were to busy getting ready for out EID celebration to be bothered with the news of Saddam's death. No big celebrations. I think it more just a feeling of relief and justice for the dog that he was. I just wish our late AMIR sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah had lived long enough to see this day. He was the one that got us through the Gulf War and rebuilt Kuwait as the pearl of the Gulf. May Sheikh Jaber rest in peace and Saddam rot in hell. Thats justice.

Libya? You mean the same country formerly led by Kaddaffi?

Wow, that's a shocker! (no, I'm kidding)

I guess the Arab world will see that Iraq's new government isn't going to put up with any terrorist shenanigans.

Funny, the Arab world has been strangely quiet.

Ya think they see it as a loss?

Oh joy - making him a martyr has already started. I think only time will tell what the Arab world will do. I hear there has already been a bombing near the shi ite area. That didn't take long. I think there will be turmoil but who knows what kind.
