A good question. I wish my wife asks the same.
Let me think. Instead of giving specific inputs, I would try to give an answer that is general so that it can be used for any person
a) Something that takes the thoughts of a person away from work
= Example : A good board game, to completely de-stress
= Playing with Kids if there are one
b) First talk about the less difficult things at home and opportunity to freshen up
c) Look at the letters pending for the day, and important ones (matters of financial issues, or ones from loved ones) separated and kept and removed from the remaining junk
d) A refreshing bath and good meal

Well if I was blessed with a perfect world with a perfect wife then the answer would be an atmosphere that communicated that what I had been doing all day was appreciated and cherished. It doesn't have to be the same thing but the appreciation is very important to me. I want my home and my relationship to be a sanctuary from the dog eat dog world we work in.

I expect to have some time to myself. I don't want someone nagging me right when I get through the door if I've had a rough day at work. Sometimes I don't even feel like talking right away. I need time to chill out.

lots of sh*it to do before he gets home from work. Two cats need fed , house to clean an supper to cook! this is what i expect to find when i get home from work! no hope of expecting anymore because he is the one with the expectations in that situation! lol

A hug and a kiss from my loveing wife....I always get one. On the other hand I do the same to her if she comes home after me. This is not a routine...This comes from the Heart.

I expect to get super made and do the wash so when my wife gets home, she can either watch tv or go by her Male Friend.

Well im a woman and expect a clean house and for everyones chores to be done and homework to be done as for supper me and the kids cook together
