I WANT A REACTION DAMMIT!! u aint gonna get best answer for telling me it aint a good idea. i am making a bottle bomb & i know it will create gas but is it toxic.
Plz i want a proper answer! then u will get best answer

Its your normal metal-acid reaction:
2Al + 6HCl --> 2AlCl3 + H2
The above reaction is for gaseous anhydrous HCl
Hydrogen gas is liberated.
Its NOT TOXIC.
however its inflammable...which is good for your bomb.


However, if you are using aqueous HCl, then because aluminium chloride is covalent it will be immediately hydrolysed by the water, giving the hydroxide.

AlCl3 + 3H2O --> Al(OH)3 + 3HCl

2Al + 6HCl-------- 2AlCl2+H2

this shows that if we mix HCl With Al We Will Get
Aluminium Cloride With Hydrogen gas .
