on the internet there is some movie using AVI to play the movie and i don't know how to play the AVI movie. where i can download the AVI player?

i use vlc it a media player that has all the codecs already there and it plays some that media player for windows can't www.vlc.com

You should be able to play it right now, as I have many .avi movies... if your just trying to watch it on the computer you can download this codec pack and use the media player that it comes with

On a mac, get a copy of "mplayer" and follow directions. I couldn't play AVIs before I got this app, but can now.
On a PC, it's a question of codecs, plugins and a bunch of other PC heachache / shoulda-bought-a-mac stuff.

Go to www.download.com and download DivX player (it's free). That's what I did and it works great.
