The greatest discovery in mathematics is that Mathematics includes nothing.
I mean it includes....... " Zero". The 0 invented by indians had significant impact on everything starting from counting. Without zero all other things wud not have been possible.

It's a tie between symbolic generalization and mathematical logic, both co-developed stepwise by Sumerians, Babylonians, Egyptians, etc., but put on a systematic footing by the Greeks with Euclidean geometry. This is when true mathematics began, paving the way for later structuralist mathematics such as Galois theory, topology, group theory, axiomatic set theory, etc. It's the recognition that mathematics itself has a structure which is analyzable, instead of being a collection of rules to be blindly followed.

Zero would be greatest discovery in the field of mathematics as this single digit has the power of immense value as by multifplying by it demolishes any thing to zero whereas when added it enhances the vale of any other digit(s) tenfold. Like your belief in God if you have it you achieve anything and everything if you dont have faith / beliefe in God everything turns to ashes i.e
Nada Zero. Its the power that you have with it that can either give you Baida(Zero) or cent percent with two zeroes.

The idea of "time" as a organic phenomena has consistently existed contained in the evening/day cycle, the seasons, improve of seasonal plant life etc, and as alongside with consistently been acknowledged by people. while the device of time length we now employ is a synthetic construct. even as many will say that this device enables global commerce and the powerful operating of agencies, agencies etc, some might want to argue that it truly is a device which enslaves us and turns us into very small factors of an enormous gadget. for this reason, it would want to be argued that, the adoption of an popular time length device eliminates people extra from nature and all this is organic rhythms.

Has to be the 'Zero' ('0').
Imagine Mathematics without Aryabhatta's contribution of this!

In my humble opinion, the place value number system, and associated creation of zero as a place value made mathematics possible :-)
