Unemployment is your money. Its taken from your pay check from each job you've ever held. When u collect unemployment, you're collecting your tax money. To keep your unemployment replenished, they'll subtract tax money from your next job. Yes, u must return the monies to unemployment if you accept a job and receive a pay check while receiving unemployment. You must cover yourself for the next unfortunate need for unemployment.

No you do not,I've known several people that have gotten employment and they have not had to pay it back.unemployment is a state funded program.
