Others are rightfully concerned about the lenses and acetone if they are plastic, however they will craze and not melt. You don't want that either. Sure, glass and acetone would work but is the part you glued on plastic? If so you may need to reconsider. You may have to use heat. Super glues (cyanoacrylates) are thermoplastics which means they will melt before they burn. Cyanoacrylates boil around 250F and if your boyfriend has polycarbonate lenses they begin to soften at about 310F so you have some wiggle room. f you have doubts you could limp into it, as the temp goes up the strength drops to zero before you actually get to 250F. Good luck!

I was going to suggest fingernail polish remover also, but if the lenses are plastic it will will melt the lenses. Try a little on the bottom edge of the lens first to make sure the lens does not melt.

If the lense is glass no problem if plastic/ take to place where purchased. You can use polish remover on glass but I wouldn't try it on anything else.

Try using a NOT overly-soaked Q-Tip with ALL the other substances recommended.
You may TRY using acetone if you are extremely gentle and the Q-Tip is mostly dry.
Good Luck! :o)
