Can you match every vowel with the color that you think of when pronouncing it? Or at least some vowels with some colors? Could you explain why did you choose a certain color?

A: Off white, because for some reason it makes me think of vanilla ice cream.

E: Red, no, I can't explain.

I: Green Immortality

O: Gold Because the chemical symbol Au, is sometime pronounced as O, as in Om instead of the three syllable AUM.

U: Black Fear of bad grades.

Sometimes Y: Blue Lack of knowing

Well, if you are talking about English vowels, they have like 15 distinctive vowels--- but only 5 vowels are in the alphabet, so there's a lack of corresponding writen symbols to the sounds. Well, g'luck in matching the colors :)

A - black. This is a standard letter and it makes me think of text, of the alphabet itself.
E - Green. Maybe because 'e' is in the color.

I - White. Don't know. That letter just seems like a skinny person standing in a snow storm surrounded by the color of ... innocence
O - Red. It's wide and you can color a color on the inside of the letter, why not color it red.
U - Yellow. Don't know again either. Maybe because there are more women with names beginning with U then there are men. My wifes name is Ursula; yellow is a feminine color.

A = Snow White. Because it gives me
the feeling of a crisp clear winter day.

E = Fiery Red. Because it makes me feel
like I'm all flustered from riding many
amusement park rides.

I = Gold. For no other reason than I feel
as though I'm a pirate plundering others
for this precious metal.

O = Black. For two reasons.
1. I feel as though I'm in the dark and left out.
2. It gives me the feeling of exploration & discovery.

U = Canary Yellow. Because of the sense of
euphoria & excitement it gives me being
around fun people.

And why not,

Y = Sky Blue. Simply because of the wonderment
and vastness the sound of the letter represents.

A -- reminds me of the color red because the first thing i visualized was an apple

E -- reminds me of the color purple because the first thing i thought of was eggplant

I -- reminds me of light blue because the first thing that came to my mind was an igloo and in cartoon drawings they are usually that icy blue color

O -- reminds me of Orange because it starts with an O

U -- reminds me of the color yellow because i pictured the umbrella i had when I was little and it was yellow

Oh am I an idiot tonight. I did the first letters of the alphabet... a,b,c,d,e...
Okay, vowels.
a = brown -- um... because it seems basic
e = red -- because it is more strident
i = blue -- because i seems like the lonely vowel
o = green - empty, like envy
u = purple - exotic
