It depends on your price range. For fine dining, go to Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian, Ceasar's, Rio, and go to their premiere restaurant. Be prepared to pay hundreds of $$$$. Men must wear jackets. The Rio set a new standard when it opened. For a medium priced restaurant as good as any 5-star (it may be), go to Buzio's at the Rio. The buffet at the Rio is the most expansive in the world. Unbelievable. For Italian, try Olive's at the Bellagio. They use all fresh herbs. Rum tasting? Rum Jungle has over 200 rums. Wine? Try the wine tasting cellar at the Rio. For buffets, the nicer hotels have buffets with more variety. Las Vegas has imported the best chefs in the world, and in some cases the whole restaurant. They fly in fresh supplies every day. Save your calories and $$. Eating is one of the best things to do in Vegas. Bon Appetit.

As a Vegas resident, my vote goes to Rosemary's on West Sahara. It's off the Strip but it is heavenly.

Stay away from the buffets. I have many friends in the restaurant business and they have told me horror stories. But if you MUST buffet, I'd suggest the buffets at either Bellagio or the Wynn.

For the best restaurant on the strip, I'd vote for Andre's in the Monte Carlo. Equally delicious are Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill or Bradley Ogden, both in Caesar's Palace.

If you like Thai, then Lotus of Siam in a strip mall on Sahara between Paradise and Maryland (almost at Maryland). Rated a 28 in Zagat's. Super food, helpful staff and you can't beat the price.

It used to be in the Stardust, but I think it was torn down. It had the best and cheapest lobster tail around.

I've heard the Rio had a wonderful buffet. I went to eat at the Horseshoe many years ago and it was great.
