Well unfortunately that's the way most men are shown to handle there feelings. And if not, that's what they see in society. Its like how a young girls see beauty in a magazines. Men are shown to be tough, brave and unaltered. To see a man cry is to see a man fail. I as a man sometime have a hard time crying in public. I try to keep it in , probably to show that I'm brave and that I can be leaned on for support It's not always easy being a guy, course later I have to deal with what I feel inside by myself. And your right, It doesn't make sence.

You didn't get all the rules to that statement. If someone, or a pet, dies, then you can cry. If you or someone you love has been injured, you can cry.
However, if you are just frustrated with the way the world is treating you and you need an emotional cry, do it alone. A woman may say she likes a man who will show his emotion, but one who cries from a bad day might be considered a wuss.
I've cried because I was constantly being picked on in school. Crying just made the picking worse.
Act like the picking doesn't bother you and they won't pick on you any more. The same goes for many situations.
That my old fashioned opinion and advise, do with it as you want.

false, crying is a natural reaction. If your eyes water because of an irritant, that is crying. If you feel emotional over loosing a loved one, that is natural. Men often are ridiculed as an adolecent for crying, when you become a man, you could give 2 $h!ts if someone sees you cry. Crying is not always associated with being sad or happy. I tend to cry (my eyes water) when I get really angry and want to hurt someone. I think the difference between women and men, women are vocal/hyperventilate as they cry, mens tears fall while they say nothing and occasionally suck the snot back into their nose.

A guy who doesn't cry has usually experienced shame or ridicule as a child for this human response to many situations. If he does not cry and is overwhelmed with anger, frustration, or sadness, where is it to go? A well rounded person cries when they need to respond to a wide spectrum of feelings or emotions. What has being a man got to do with that? This person who gave you the black or white determination of how a man handles his emotions is showing his intolerance for this type of behavior. He is probably repeating the phrases he was subjected to as a child. A man is a responsible person who has the strength of character to pursue his goals in life and meet challenges with great reasoning and understanding. He is not a person who tells someone what to think or feel. He respects his family, friends, and people in general. Now if he does all of this, yet cries occasionally, what does that make him?

For me as a male, there are moments when I just want to burst into tears, but find that I can't. Not because I was told that boys don't cry growing up. Just because I don't know how to cry. I have tried forcing myself to cry when my G/F and I broke up. I was torn inside, but I could not shead a tear. It is almost as though harder life becomes, the harder I become. I wish I new how to cry, then maybe this terrible heavy feeling in my heart will go away. Any way Have a great new year. George.

Men are human beings too! It is ok to cry, but don't make it a habit because people will soon see you as a weakling and try to take advantage of you. If you see a sad situation developing, quickly move away. Do not entertain it.

You have to admit that at least in this culture, crying is not as acceptable for men as it is for women, or at least for men to be seen crying. Any guy knows that you're conditioned at an early age, at least by your peers, not to cry. If you do, you are teased, harassed, and persecuted mercilessly. Maybe not in all circles, but I think this is very common in America. That's just the way it is.

Men do cry... even they have feelings...
But men are not much expressive as women.... they tend to hide all the hard feelings inside them but the point of saturation arises they burst out...
It varies from man to man on how he reacts.. Some men are too sensitive and some are strong.
