my current girlfriend is serving time.i look after our child and she calls every once a week or not at all sometimes. our child calls my sister mum and its sad when she loks around thinking which one could be her mum.ive waited for a year and abit for our child to met its mother and we could all be together again but she has still got time left in prison and i really want to stay with her for our child and dont get me wrong i do love him

Your girlfriend did something wrong. When she gets out- can you live with that? Can she make herself strong, and get a job, and be a positive role model? Does she see that she made a terrible mistake and can be on the straight on narrow path when she gets out? Will she be able to find a job?

Most people in this circumstance get divorces. People into drugs (assuming he is in for drugs) do anything for drugs and very tough to determine if he will do it again. You will have to get all kinds of help. If not drug related then I think you have much better chance. Give it a year and if it doesn't get better move on. Send some help in there to him to counsel him like (Friends Outside) a Christian organization.

How long does she still need to stay? I think it's worth the wait. She is the mother and the child deserves to meet her/his real biological mom. It's worth waiting. For sure, the mom is also suffering in prison and she is ALSO WAITING. :-) Happy holidays!
