If you are looking for an Ethernet controller card driver you can download if for free from the manufacturers website. You may need to open up your computer's case and look for a sticker or panted make and model number.

I would think that if your NIC was up to a few years old, you could download the driver for free from the maker of the card. If its old, you'll have to search the Internet for a while.

go for windows update. it will probably install the eathernet drive for you.
