It really just depends what you're looking for in a media player. Lets say I'm comparing a 30gb Zune with a 30gb IPod, I believe the Zune would be better cause it supports more video formats. the Zune supports WMV, MPeg1, MPeg2, MPeg4, and avi, and for music it supports AAC, and mp3(MPeg3). The IPod however only supports MPeg4 for video, and AAC, and mp3 for music. I hope that helps

I have used both, and have got to say that the Zune is so much better! It has some unique features that the ipod doesn't have. The ipod does have some features that the Zune doesn't have, but to me, they are just really minor. I think you should give the Zune a try, and just test it at the store, you might really like it.

Zune will be better in the end. Microsoft just succeeds at life. With windows, the xbox, and now the zune. I'm pretty sure it will eventually draw level with the ipod.

iPod, no contest. The Zune is nothing more than a marketing ploy to get more cash in Gates' fat wallet. On the surface its technical specs might seem more appealing, but beyond that, you're in for a world of frustration and disappointment. Not only is the iPod more hip, more reliable, and more attractive, but it's also just better.
