what would it take to make a connection to someone like that and do you have one the most common one would be your child especially if your the the mother but can there be a connection to someone that you are not related to a friend that you would do anything for even if you are male or female and reguardless of there gender assumeing that the dedication goes both ways even if it meant to take your life or someone elses or both how often do you see this kind of care about someone else and i am not talking about it being someones job but just true dedication to someone you are close to or are we just always in it for ourselves and no one else

I feel you would do anything for those you truly care about. If you think you love someone, but for arguments sake, wouldn't give them a kidney, you probably don't truly love them. I have friends who at a moments notice, I would do anything to help them. I also have a few family members I prefer to not even talk to. The saying is "blood is thicker than water" I say "it's up to you to decide who is blood and who is water"...I would be willing to say, a lot of the time we are in it for self gratification, but I would also be willing to say it would be done in order to show someone how much we care for them, actions speak louder than words. I could tell you I love you, but would you believe me if I ran away from somebody who pulled a gun on us or if I stood in front of you and took the bullet?

The part of your brain that deals with long term relationships with people does not fully finish developing until age 25, so before that time everyone is selfish and does not understand the meaning of a real connection and obligation to someone. Those that are still like this and over 25, you will find they have an underlying reason why they are being selfish, they put things, careers, material possesions over others.

There are alot of people that genuinley help others and would do anything for their loved ones, friends or family. I would die so that my friends could live, but I have alot of spiritual beliefs that back me up in my personal position.

Basically, its a complicated world.

Yeah I would, more often than not I feel closer with those tried-and-true friends than actual family. Especially if youve gone through tough times with them.

Imagine war buddies when they get back, that bond they share.

Yeah, If I see you truly, how you feel about me, I'll definetly do anything for you. Without expecting something in return.

The person that you love and trust the most. Where your friendship with that person has no boundaries or limits. You can tell them anything down to your deepest, darkest secret and they won't judge you. They will always be there for you, no matter what -- through thick to thin. They will not only cater to your feelings, but be bloody honest with you.
For me, that's my Best Friend.
But my Dog works, too. ;)
