Get there as early as possible. They open at 8am you should be there by Mid-Morning at the latest, anytime after that you MAY run into a situation where they either stop ticket sales or let new people in.

Don't leave right after Midnight that is when the biggest crush of people will try to leave. Just plan to stay until 2am(Closing time).

Innoventions is an okay place to watch fireworks. The best place is in front of the Castle, but if you don't want to deal with the mass of people there head to Small World Mall.

There will be a special schedule out for New Years Eve and there will be several countdown areas. The most crowded will be in front of the Castle. It will be croweded in all the areas so just go in knowing that and have fun, after all it is Disneyland on New Years Eve.

There is also the usual suggestion of eat at off times, although with NYE the food places will probably be busy all day.

Use FastPass which is a Free Service where you use your Park Ticket at specific attractions to come back at a later time in the day and avoid the regular line. You are allowed 1 every 2 hours or when your first one becomes valid. Just check the bottom of the FastPass ticket to know when you can get a new one.

Dont leave the park unless it's an emergency or you do it around the time it opens. Last year they locked everyone out around 3pm regradless you were already in the park before or not. And it was raining last year so they may do it even earlier. Also like everyone says get there early, and i would get on the new pirates if you never been on it yet before if i were you. And im going too maybe ill see ya there!

Jan 2nd - we like Disneyland on NYE. We would have gone but it was Sunday. For next year - go early, pick a place to park yourself (e.g., bench) for the fireworks really early, leave after 1am. Expect crowds. Don't forget to get your FREE hats and horns.

plan, plan plan!!!
take advantage of your tickets if you can enter the park early. Bring bottled water. It won't be any more crowed as any of the summer days, so enjoy. check out the web-sites that rate the rides (of course, thoe sites are not authorized by Disney as they like all of their rides.) Don;t miss the 'Soaring California' ride.

AGAIN, don't worry. New Year's eve is only have as hectic as the Fourth of July weekend

Sounds like some awesome fun (can we come along too)? Try to get there early as the crowds will be very large I suspect. Remember the time difference if there is one from where you normally live. Expect LONG lines but try to enjoy yourselves anyway. Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!

Get a hotel where they let you get in 2 hours before everyone else. Bring snacks and bottled water. Use the bathroom before you go. Dont forget your ticket.
