I think that everyone is born as intelligent as everyone else but its whether or not we use our mind to the full potential.Ive been wondering this for awhile.I just thought i would get some more opinions.

With the exception of the mentally ill, I would say that each person could possibly become as smart as any other with enough work, but genetic makeup does play a vital role in intelligence.

The answer is no. Unfortunately, many factors contribute to the actual IQ level, though the actual testing suffers a lot of ambivalent and unattributable factors. A child born from lack of oxygen, heroin addiction, premature birth, etc. will have some form of brain damage. What I think you may be surmising is that, if all babies were born in the same pristine environment, given the same gene opportunites and the same fortunate circumstances, they would attain the same intelligence level. That, unfortunately, will never happen.

I believe in Christian. Based on my perception, God has given us the equality to all of his creation (human being) without looking whether you are rich or poor or whatsoever the differences. When we are born we are supposed to have 100% Intelligent without any exception. However, if we are able to manage and to gain more, we are welcomed to do so and thats why people who can manage like Albert Einstein and whoever, they succeed to manage. If we just normal, then it is normal, means nothing special about it. Brain is just like a muscle. Just think when you are in gymnasium, you should exercise every day in order to get more shaped or whatsoever you may call. The same thing like brain. When you exercising the brain every day by reading some light knowledge book or whatsoever in which has the knowledge, you may shape your brain to be intelligent. There is no impossible if we really want to be intelligent.

Nice thought. I guess it depends on what you call "intelligent". The problem with the word is it is very hard to decide exactly what it should mean. For instance I could call a person with a PHD as very intelligent, or maybe pretty stupid because they can't balance their check book. I could never compare a genius in math to a genius in music.
I guess to me the question is really not that important. What is much more important is that a person does the best with what ever mix of potentials they have been given.

I think most of us were given the same stuff to work with. What we have done with it varies. Intelligence covers a broad spectrum. One person could be knowledgeable in math, science, history, politics, it varies. Some people don't try to learn new things, some people pick things up easily, and some like me are in school forever.

If your theory is correct, please explain why there are so many repeat offenders? They always get caught. Why people continuously do the same dumb thing, never stopping to think the outcome will be the same. Why do manipuilators still attempt to try to manipulate a person that refuses to be manipulated? Unfortunately people do not possess the same intelligence levels.

Just like people are born with varying physical abilities, so are our brains created with different thinking and analytical abilities. The way we are wired is dictated by a number of factors, but chief among them is our genetic makeup. We are not equal. That's a fact.

all people are born with equal opportunity, not with equal intelligence. all you have to do is observe the people around you to see it.
Darwins theory didn't end with the iguanas in the Gallopogos you know. it applies to humans too and survival of the fittest has more to do with intelligence in humans than brawn.

see u knw we all got same type of brains when we wet u knw as we grow in to adult age the potenial to grasp some knowledge lacks becuzzz of not enough practise.... so if a kid or sum1 is like practising to grasp as muhc knowledge for sure he is having more knowldge dan any other person...
