Are our selectors dumb? Its two way advantage to have Pathan in the eleven. If he fails to ball he can bat also. This is my opinion, what is yours? I am not asking this to show my frustration but I am wondering why selectors feel VRV is better than Pathan. Any guess?

Thank you to all who answered. Here a few people are saying that VRV is a better bowler so he is selected. But see the previous records or number of opportunities given to VRV. In all matches he has failed miserably. I feel that Irfan Pathan is also lot better in bowling than VRV Singh, who is just like a robot. Look at him, you will never find any emotions. Please note I am saying 'NOT HAVING emotions' & not 'NOT SHOWING emotions'. There are many great cricketers such as Inzamam-ul-Haq, Sachin who also don't show any emotions. They are cool. But VRV looks dumb to me. May be selectors feel otherwise........

Presently VRV Singh is more impressive as a bowler as compared to Irfan Pathan, who is struggling with his bowling. Presently team badly need a bowler who can take wickets and not a bowler who can bat. Considering the present indifferent form of Pathan with the ball and as Munaf Patel is unfit, VRV Singh is the right choice as no other option for bowler is available in the present team..

too early to say this. You can not compare irfan pathan with new comer VRV singh.

The current form of VRV might be better than irfan but we have already seen what irfan pathan means. Irfan is a match winner for india. On other hand, VRV's position in the team is not yet fixed. If VRV does not perform for more than 4 inings then he's sure for a drop while in case of pathan it does not happen so much.

VRV Singh right now is in form. Irfan Pathan became out of form since he tried to do fast and other stuff and not his originality. Your originality is your feature and VRV is using it.

Right now, Yes, as far as bowling is concerned. But looking at the alround performance,VRV stands nowhere. Irfan's role is to bowl and all of us expect only a bowling performance from him. He can get handy with the bat sometimes but that shouldn't be given a lot of importance.

VRV is better than Pathan IN PRESENT FORM OF THE BOWLERS. NOW SECTORS SENT Pathan TO PLAY IN DOMESTIC CRICKET. THIS IS THE PROOF
