I am about to break up with my boyfriend and wanted to know how he feels about that and where I stand in his life. He has three kids but thats not the problem. I feel like the ex still has a hold on him because of the kids and all he says is "I'm with you. Where am I going? " I know he doesn't want marriage. I do. Three years we've been together and I can't leave him. Everything is great 99% of the time. Only when she pulls him away like for christmas eve. Or like when he called her my wife in front of my friends @ a christmas party. I feel deeply hurt and wonder is it worth me sticking around for more.

As long as he has children he may say she is his wife at least until he remarries. He's with you not her. They have children together so you will have to share. Do you want him to open up so you can see how hurt you can make him feel for doing what he needs to do to be a good father? When a single women gets with a divorced father a lot of baggage comes with it. Be strong he cares or he would go. Give him time if you really love him you will be ok and he may or may not one day want to remarry as long as you don't make his life difficult when it comes to his "other family". Good Luck, those are usually hard men to deal with but usually well worth it in the end.

Hon you have a very tough job ahead!! Does his attitude change after he has been with his ex?Does he seem happier around you when he comes back? If so you have been a buffer for him while in secret he wants to be back with his ex wife.
Set him down in a quiet place.Tell him how you feel about him and how you would like things to grow stronger!
Ex plane things that he has done and and how it makes you feel.
(Not opening up to you and allowing you to be mentally a part of him) A true man is comfortable with his masculinity and is not afraid to cry!!But for any man it is hard to talk about how we feel !! It is hard for me to say I love you,I would let the person know by the way I look at them and touch them and the things I do for them!! Ask him if he would like to attend couples counseling to open up a better line of communication!!
Let him know that he has shut the door on you and he is pushing you away! Give him 2 months to come around if he does not find happiness someplace else!!

Oh ****! Been there and still am! Men always have to TRY to talk to the mothers of their kids or the girl gets mad mostly when her guy is now with you. I would buy presents on birthdays......... with my $, he loved it, BUT when I could not stand all the restrictions the ***** put on us it was pathetic! He does LOVE you, he just does not know what to do!!Please do not leave, but get some counseling,ASAP!!!!!

He is without question less of a man if he does not talk about his feelings. He would be even more of a man however, if he put his body where his mouth is, not allowed himself to be manipulated, and openly and publicly declared his love for you.
