In all likelyhood, your keyboard has died. It happens.
1st-Shut down the comp.
2nd-Clean it with compressed air. Turn it upside down and hose it out and make sure no keys are stuck. Blow out the PS2 port on the comp and the PS2 connector on the keyboard cord and plug it back up.
3rd-Turn on the comp.
If this doesn't work, try a different keyboard to make sure it's the keyboard and not some other issue.
If the other keyboard doesn't work try re-installing any software that came with the keyboard and re-install the keyboard bios.
If the other keyboard works go to your local Wal-Mart or wherever you can find a new keyboard and buy one. They start at about $20 US and go up.
Good luck.

Keyboards form part of the user interface and a keyboard problem can be very annoying. Sometimes the keyboard drivers can get corrupted. Some of the problems can be fixed . I have found the details given at http://fixit.in/keyboard.html is more useful.

I don't know how to fix it, but you should shut down your comp. Unplug the keyboard, then plug it back in to make sure that the connection is good. Then try and restart your computer. See if your computer recognizes the keyboard. That is the best that I can help you. I hope that it works!!

Make sure it's completely plugged in. Shut down the computer, and unplug it, then replug it back in, then turn on the computer.
