I feel like this section gets a wider variety of questions than a lot of the other sections. Yeah there's a lot of repeat questions about identity formation, but then there's also just random questions about other topics, like advice about the intricacies of a heterosexual relationship, behavior in clubs, definitions of completely off-topic stuff, suggestions for presents, etc.

Do you think most of this is by accident? Do you think there's some other reason why all those other questions get asked here?

I've thought it about myself, but you know me personally I think the real reason is because gays, lesbians etc are more open minded and don't judge.

And I think that's something we're all looking for, a place where we can be who we are and feel excepted without fear of judgment or discrimination, but keep in mind that is just my personal opinion as to why they do, it could also be that their to lazy to find the correct section.

I think you have a lot of people that are curious about gays and lesbians and would like a little more info about the life style and the people that they run across in life. but you also have the people on here that are ignorant and don't know anything and make fun of the people and their lifestyle. So yes because of the wide range of people and the lack of intelligence by some you have such a large variety of questions.

Many see the "LGBT" Sign and translate it to mean "ANYTHING OF A SEXUAL NATURE" as if it's an open door for all lasciviously grotesque and extremely intimate questions.
For some I do believe it's an innocent mistake in categorization. Some are because the poster is part of the LGBT community and feels this is a "safe place" to post his/her questions to their community.

You do nicely to remind the folk on right here of a few very extreme (and tragic) subject matters. i can really communicate for myself, inspite of the indisputable fact that it truly is amazingly confusing now to not each so often hilight the absurdity of attacks on gay electorate fixed by some factors of the Christian good wing. to boot to the topic matters you've noted, there are nevertheless the topic matters of equality and recognition. i imagine it truly is largely human to talk out hostile to those who deny this stuff. great question pal.

There are two reasons which immediately spring to mind:

People read LGBT as being the "Sex" Category

People want advice from LGBTs - who they see as being amenable to answering questions from such diverse topics.

Also, it depends on where you are when you post. So if I'm a lesbian looking in this section and I decide to ask a question about a movie and don't pay attention to how I categorize it, it will end up automatically in here.

Some of the people don't know what LGBT means, some don't look where they are posting, some post here just because they feel like it, and some are members lesbians, gay, bi, or transexuals who are to lazy to find the appropriate section.
