If there is a reason for your feelings, such as a temporary or permanent loss of a family member or friend, you need to let yourself feel the sadness until you find the level of acceptance that can help you heal. This can take some time so realize it is a natural human response and is there for a reason. Things do get better. If you are depressed, you need to talk to someone who you trust who will listen. Let yourself feel better. Do some small thing that will take your mind off your sad feelings as a distraction. Have a happy New Year and take this time to begin anew!

Go have fun doing hobby you like. ie - skiing/snowboarding, hang gliding, bungee jumping, riding a motorcycle, or go get a 4X4 and go with a group through the back country.
There are good clean things to do to change your focus from the situation that makes you sad. It's hard when the sadness is in your own household. I know that feeling very well. Try to remove yourself physically from it periodically and think about personal goals, faith as you see it, talk to God whether you're in an angry state or not. He wants to hear from you.

hey...umm..well i feel the best way 2 loose anger or sadness is...DANCE!!!!!!! dance when you feel down...when u r sad or depressed.....or of course even listening to music helps. or talking wid d person whos made u upset may improve things.....well....all d best!!!!!!! its new year.......just enjoy nd have fun!!!! :)
