If the doctor didn't say no sex then go for it just be gentle. No kinky S&M stuff and you'll be fine ;~)
Try massaging her feet between the heels and ankles. There is a little spot there that is a pressure point for inducing labor. I believe it is on the inside of the foot. I am a massage therapist and this is one spot they tell us to avoid on preg women because it puts them in labor. Apply good pressure but not enough to bruise her and massage each foot for at least 10 minutes. Good luck!

No, having sex won't hit or hurt the baby (whichever you meant). It may jumpstart your wife's labor ... then again, it may not. I will tell you the same thing I'd tell a woman, though: if for whatever reason you're not wanting to have sex, you probably shouldn't.
The flip side of this is that it may be your last chance to have uninterrupted sex for quite awhile. I don't know if you have any other kids - if you do, you probably know the routine.
If you don't, here's the scoop: your wife will go to the doctor at some point after having the baby to see if her body has recovered enough to start having sex again. Typically that's six weeks after having the baby. However, having the doctor say you're ready to have sex and being ready are two different things. Hormones can still be in a state that makes sex painful. Being sleep-deprived and just plain exhausted are also problems, in addition to there being a good chance that the baby will wake up when you're trying to make love.
So - if you and your wife both feel up to it, it might be good to get a last one in for old time's sake. It may be quite awhile before things get back to normal.
Congratulations on your new baby -

Like stated above, as long as your wifes doctor has not told you not to have sex then go right ahead. As also stated above the spoon position is going to be the most comfortable for her and less likely to put undue strain on her already uncomfortably large body. My wifes doctor actually told us to have sex the last week before she delivered as it does help some women start labor. Check out the link below, it's from webmd and is a good article about sex and pregnancy. Congrats on the new addition!

You won't hit the baby, it is protected in its own little bubble. As long as the water isn't broke, it should be safe. I say SHOULD because every pregnancy is different, but if your wife has had a good pregnancy, and your doctor did not specifically say NO, then you are good to go. Also, nipple stimulation can help bring on contractions.

Tell her to take a really hot hot hot shower. It worked with my daughter. She wasn't due till Sept. 10, 2005. And I wanted her born on the last day of Aug. I took a hot hot hot shower on Aug. 30,2005, before I went to bed... And about 10:45 my water broke.. and I went to hospital and the next morning my daughter was born at 11am on Aug. 31, 2005.

Sheesh. Spell check much, dad? My daughter was three weeks early because we just couldn't wait. No problem there,(luckily) but be gentle if ya just have to. Try the spoon position so you don't get so close.

your wife is due in 2 days?
how far away is your anniversary?
there isnt anything you can do to bring on labor unless she is already in the beginning stages of labor--and there is nothing you can do to 'hold off' either--if baby is full term and ready to come out---it's coming, lol
