I own a Wii myself and will say....

Pro's:

Get a next gen system for hundreds less

Its less than 1/3rd the size of the PS3 or the 360, imagine 3 dvd cases stacked on top of each other and thats how big it is.

Gaming is so much more interactive, you get immersed into the game and almost forget you are playing a video game.

Theres a potential for exercise and losing weight/becoming more active and healtier.

Multiplayer will NEVER be the same. So far ive only played Wii Sports on multiplayer but the Boxing and Tennis matches are awesome with multiplayer and it gets really intense. its really alot more fun than sitting down and just mashing buttons.

Plays Gamecube games

Also has a 3 in 1 memory card slot for your digital camera memory cards and you can upload them to the system and post them online.

Create custom avatars that resemble you and use them as characters in certain games. also, if you have an internet connection you can have your avatar travel to other peoples consoles and they can play as your character and you can recieve other peoples avatars as well.

Ability to download classic titles online, such as Super Mario 64, Goldeneye 64, Mario Kart, Castlevania, and suprisingly Sonic the Hedgehog.

Cons:

Graphics are the least impressive of the next gen consoles, but the interactivity more than makes up for it, in my opinion.

Controllers run on AA batteries, no internal battery you can recharge whenever your not playing(Although this can be a pro as well, internal batteries could short out in PS3 controllers and you would have to replace the entire control and not just a set of AA's)

Very hard to find.

Other than that, i cant think of anything.

The pros:

1. the Nintendo Wii is INEXPENSIVE!
(compared to the other next gen systems, the Wii is much cheaper at $250 compared to the $400 for x box 360 and $500-600 for PS3. Also the games are only $50 as compared with the xbox 360 which is $60 per game. I don't know about PS3 games though. Also, it will be easier to maintain owning multiple systems, if you are one of those people who bought a gamecube, a PS2 and an xbox.)

2. The Nintendo Wii has that awesome controller
(it has rumble, unlike the PS3 controller, has a light gun function [remember duck hunt?] and is a radically different style of play intended to be more active than videogames have been in the past)

3. The Nintendo Wii is both backwards compatible with the Nintendo Game Cube and also it is developing a free library of classic games.
(so you can play old games legally, unlike with emulator software)

4. The Nintendo Wii has follow ups of all those classic series
(Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid Prime, and most likely others to come)

Cons

1. The Nintendo Wii has the least advanced graphics of all 3 systems
(it has been said it only has graphics a bit better than a game cube)

2. The Nintendo Wii will most likely not have as many of the game titles bound to come out for PS3 and xbox 360.

here are some pros

1.You get a more hands on experiance when gaming instead
of sitting down all the time.

2.Its not as expesive as the Playstation 3 and its worth the price.

3.You can play games from other Nintendo systems.not just the
wii!

Now the ultimate cons!

1.You get carried away and end up breaking the tv!

2.The strap snaps you hit yourself upside the head or in the eye!

Hope this helped!
