What are hemorrhoids?

A precise definition of hemorrhoids does not exist, but they can be described as masses or clumps (“cushions”) of tissue within the anal canal that contain blood vessels and their surrounding, supporting tissue made up of muscle and elastic fibers. The anal canal is the last four centimeters through which stool passes as it goes from the rectum to the outside world. The anus is the opening of the anal canal to the outside world.

Although most people think hemorrhoids are abnormal, they are present in everyone. It is only when the hemorrhoidal cushions enlarge that hemorrhoids can cause problems and be considered abnormal or a disease.

Hemorrhoids are caused by inflammation of little blood vestals in the lower intestine. This can be caused by tumor, cyst, wiping to hard, or a hard B.M.

Most typically they are treated by medication. If the medication does not work, then a small yet painful injection is made.

See a lower gastrointestinal surgeon. He/she may suggest some witch hazel, laxatives, and baby wipes at first.

Hemorrhoids are varicose veins of the rectum, They can be internal or external meaning you can see them if external but if they are internal you may not see them. They are caused by straining when having a BM or from frequent constipation. The only way to get rid of them is with surgery. If they don't bother you nothing needs to be done but if they are really painful then they may need to be removed. Hope this is the info you are looking for.

well i dont know what is going on with you, you get hemerriods from having very hard stools, from being very over weight, and from the stress on your body from pregnancy, its a bit of your bowel sticking out your rear, they often bleed and itch and hurt, use prep H ointment on them, if you have very stiff bowel movements then take fiber pills and drink lots and lots of water.
